Stan Lee & jD

jD was creative partners with comic book legend Stan "The Man" Lee from 2002 to 2016.

jD working relationship with Stan turned into a close friendship, as well as with Stan's beautiful and charming wife, Joanie. The two of them married for 69 years. Stan retiring from work at age 95 when Joanie got sick in 2016.

Stan called jD "My protégé" and said:

“jD is the Iron Man of comedy.” - Stan Lee

Stan and jD were late for an interview due to working. The photographer asked

their assistant he could go into Stan's main office and snap some photos. Neither

were aware the photos were being taken.

Some of the many projects Stan & jD worked on together:

"The NFL Defenders"

A superhero team that was co-produced by the NFL. Led by a teen boy who gains superpowers, some of his friends and a, each NFL team has its own superhero based on the team's name, history, and fan base. As underdogs, they do all they can to beat the odds and fight those who want to destroy Earth, while also fighting each other due to rivalries. In the end, they always come together and work as a team. Lots of action, adventure, and comedy,

"The NHL Guardian Project"

A superhero team that was co-produced by the NHL. Similar theme to "The NFL Defenders" using NHL teams as superheroes.

"U-Man"

A superhero whose public coming-out stirs debate, love, and hate because he not only shows his true identity, but lets the world know he's gay.

"F.A.R.T.S."

A series about an old-folks home for superheroes who age,m and all that goes with them, still doing their best to be superheroes.

"A-HoleMan"

A superhero that fights those evil villains who do those annoying and bothersome things that no other superhero nor most law enforcement deal with. From those who cut you off while driving and give you the finger,  double park or park like crap so you can't park, don't pick up their dog's poo, and so on. A-HoleMan is also a bit of an asshole.

The pilot was shot, with jD playing A-HoleMan.

"I am pretty sure Stan wanted me to play the part because he felt it was type-casting." - jD

When Joanie got sick, everything was put on hold. Then Stan left, and "...without a doubt he's with Joanie now." - jD

The good news: jD owns the full rights to many of the projects. So they may come to life again.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of pic of Stan Lee (possibly millions), and Stan with famous celebrities, this pic was the one many news outlets chose to use when they announced that Stan had passed away.

Why? We were told that many had heard of the close friendship Stan and jD had. Perhaps they felt if symbolized something special.

"Many people sent me this pic of the CNN, and other networks, announcing Stan had left this dimension to start a new journey in another one. I was stunned. I was very sad that Stan was no longer here, but oddly proud they used this pic because it captures Stan and I had." - jD.

"Miss you and love you, Stan.✋🏼✨❤️"
